The east side of Lake Winnipesaukee takes a little longer to get to (for most people), but you'll be rewarded with less traffic, and beautiful private homes mixed in between classic white New England houses. Melvin Village is on Rte. 109 (Governor Wentworth Highway), 9.5 miles North of Wolfeboro, or 7.5 miles south of the turn from Rte. 25 onto 109.
Don't blink: you'll miss the whole village.
